Booking Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 2024

Welcome to Brightravel! Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before confirming your travel package. By booking with Brightravel (Pty) Ltd, you agree to be bound by these terms.


πŸ“‘ 1. Booking Confirmation
  • A completed booking form and non-refundable deposit are required to confirm your reservation.

  • Final bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

  • Group bookings require a minimum of 5 or 6 people, depending on the package.

  • You will receive a booking confirmation via email or WhatsApp within 1–2 business days.


πŸ’° 2. Deposits & Payments
  • A non-refundable deposit is required per person to secure your space. Deposit amounts vary per package (e.g. R1000 – R1500).

  • The balance of the payment must be made no later than 14 days before departure.

  • Brightravel accepts EFT (bank transfer) and other approved payment methods.

  • Failure to pay the full balance on time may result in cancellation and loss of your deposit.


πŸ—“οΈ 3. Cancellations & Refunds
  • Deposits are strictly non-refundable.

  • Cancellations must be made in writing via email or WhatsApp.

  • If you cancel:

    • 14+ days before departure: 50% refund of the full amount (excluding deposit)

    • Less than 14 days: No refund

  • In the case of no-show, 100% of the total booking is forfeited.

  • Refunds will not be issued for unused services or early departures.


πŸ”„ 4. Amendments & Postponements
  • You may request to change your travel date (subject to availability) up to 14 days prior to departure.

  • Postponements must be made in writing and are only allowed once per booking.

  • Additional charges may apply depending on season, accommodation, or transport changes.


πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ 5. Group Requirements
  • Group packages require a minimum number of travelers (typically 5 or 6).

  • If your group size falls below the minimum, a surcharge may apply or the trip may be cancelled.

  • For private groups, custom pricing and flexibility may be availableβ€”please inquire.


🚐 6. Transport & Activities
  • Transport provided is shared or private, depending on the package.

  • Activity start times must be respected. Delays caused by clients may result in missed activities, with no refunds.

  • For flight-inclusive packages, clients must adhere to airline baggage and check-in policies.


🧳 7. Baggage Policy
  • Clients are allowed 1 medium luggage bag and 1 small carry-on.

  • Excess baggage may incur an additional charge or may be declined.

  • Brightravel is not liable for loss or damage of luggage during transit.

⚠️ 8. Health & Safety
  • Clients must disclose any medical conditions or special requirements at the time of booking.

  • Clients are responsible for bringing personal medication.

  • Brightravel reserves the right to refuse a traveler who may pose a safety risk to themselves or others.


🌐 9. Travel Insurance
  • Brightravel highly recommends that all travelers obtain personal travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and personal liability.

  • Brightravel does not provide travel insurance as part of standard packages.


🌍 10. Travel Documents & Visas
  • For international packages, clients are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, and travel documents.

  • Brightravel will assist where possible but is not responsible for entry refusals or missed flights due to invalid documents.


πŸ“Έ 11. Media Consent
  • During group trips, photos and videos may be taken by Brightravel staff for marketing purposes.

  • By joining the trip, you grant Brightravel permission to use images that include your likeness, unless stated otherwise in writing.


βš–οΈ 12. Liability Disclaimer
  • Brightravel (Pty) Ltd and its staff, partners, or suppliers shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, delay, or disruption caused by third-party service providers, natural disasters, strikes, or unforeseen events beyond our control.

  • Clients participate in all activities at their own risk.
